Few Queries reg visitor visa - pls help

I am planning to apply visitor visa for my mother (working widow) and younger brother (completed BA,looking for job) during Feb,2007.Please clarify below queries.Thanks in advance.

1 Can I declare to the visa officers that "my mom is travelling with my brother or vice versa ?" .

2 Should my mom quit job before the interview ? do they give visa for 10 yrs in general ? Or even without qutting can she get for 10 yrs ?


3 If we say intended date as Mar 2007, do they issue visa starting Mar '07

4 How difficult /what chances I have for my brother ..since he has just completed his BA and looking for job. ?

1- why does your mother have to quit her job at all? Sounds like she is planning to stay a long long long long time..
2- your brother will have almost no chance....after all, what can he point to as reasons why he would return? Apparently his mother is about to skip out...and he has no job...and phony job offers for the future have no value at all...
