Hi,

My parents are having a B1/B2 appointment with Chennai consulate on 16th Nov 2006 and my husband is sponsoring for their trip. But the only problem is that we came to US just 5 months ago on H1-B.

My husband has more money in Indian banks than in US. I would like to know whether we can show my husband's bank balance along with US bank balance as the financial proof.

My husband's bank balance in US is not as much as specified in this forum. But he has a very good bank balance in India. So we want to show that.

We are also to intending to transfer that money to my father's account if needed. Can my father show to the consulate that his son-law has gifted him that amount for his trip and is he eligible for a self-sponsoring case

Please let us know if anybody else has similar experience and also share your thoughts. It is very important that they come here as we are planning to go back to India after an year

Best Regards,
Sushma

Your concern is valid, however Bank balance alone can not be the ground for any negetive decision.
Your father can surely take proof of funds and hwo the officer if the concern is the funds.
