Documentation for self employed applicants

What documentation/proof is required for self employed applicants.
My dad has a small business and I dont think its registered with govt. We do have tax returns for it. Is there any other kind of proof that we can/should get?

any "Deed"( legal ddoucment) if it is Partnership.
else proof of bank business bank account, income tax doducments on buinsess name etc will surely required.
