H1B transfer

I was laid off last week and my H1B status shows still in proces...within how much time should i file my H1 transfer...My opt is gonna end in December.

if u were working on H1 and u r out of job now, then legally u have 10 days to leave USA. But if u can file for transfer in the next 1 month or so, u will be fine.

By the time I could get my H1b approved I lost my job...I'm still in my opt...So how much time do i have to file for a transfer...

u r in status till ur OPT exp date. also i don't think u can apply for H1 transfer which is not approved yet. u may need to go for a new H1.
