h1 transfer from california

hello

I am working for a consulting company on H1. Other company is willing to sponsor my h1 and have applied h1 transfer. The attorney submitted papers for my h1 transfer on September 1, 2006. I am not in contact with the attorney. The company HR told me that I cannot start my work until they receive H1 transfer notice.

Can some one tell me how long it would take to get the H1 transfer receipt notice when applied from California? It is through normal process.

Once USCIS have the docs, u should receive the receipt notice with in 14 business days

Thanks for the quick response. How do I know if USCIS has my documents? It's been more than 14 business days and I still dont have any communication from them. When should I contact my attorney for more details?

how it was sent? Fedex/UPS or USPS. if u have a tracking #, u can check when USCIS received it? Time to contact the attr
