H1 Transfer - Does it require new LCA?- Murali/Simran please help.

I am currently on H1. The contracting company I am working for is offering me a job and willing to apply for H1 Transfer.

I wanted to find out how long would it take from the time I accept the offer till I get the new H1?

New employer is willing to file H1 Transfer on Premium Processing.

a.Wanted to know if we need a LCA to be filed by the new employer before proceeding with the H1B Premium Transfer.

b. Considering the H1B Transfer premimum will not take more than 15 days from applying, what are the pre-work (LCA, anything else?) that are to be done before the petition is filed with USCIS. Could you please let me know the typical timeline it takes to get the H1 transfer including all the above process.

I am little worried as my current employer comes to know of this deal they might cancel my H1 and I may have to leave the country. Your input will be of great help for me to plan my release/resignation with my current employer.

Yes, new LCA is reqd

usually if u file LCA electornically u get it back in 1 week or so, 1 week u can assume for paper work and 15 days for H1B transfer.
Also once a transfer is filed. u r safe.
