Hi,

My father is applying for visitor's visa on sponsorship of my brother. Brother writes surname as Aggarwal where as my father doesn't write aggarwal.

Brother's passport - father's name appers as - Aggarwal
Father's passort - his name - appears as - Kumar.
Will this be an issue?

Also while taking appointment for the question who resides in USA - father wrote - son. I am in also in USA these days and there was no option to mention about daughter. Do they need to mention in the interview.

Any information will b helpful.

Thanks.
Divya

does matter, surname can be different.
Make sure to fill the information as per the passport of the applicant.

The last names do not matter. Well, if you actually look at it a lot of South Indians do not have a last name and they use their father's first names as their last names. You can imagine how every generation has a different last name in the same family.

But, just make sure to fill up the forms properly using your passport information.
