For Vistor Visa appointment

i am trying to make an appointment and it is asking me to fill up the online application ,but few months ago their was no such thing .How we do that .

Starting from October 2005, the visa procedure has changed. You need to visit http://vfs-usa.co.in for more details. You first need to go to an authorized HDFC bank and pay Rs.4800/- and Rs.281/- and get a receipt number. You will then use the receipt number to get an appointment online. You can get the list of authorized HDFC branches from the link provided above.

If you are wondering when you may get an appt, there is a wait time of 5-7 months in all the consulates in India.
