Visitor Visa - Date of Birth certificate

Hi,
It seems my in-laws need to show birth certificate of my wife at the time of visitor visa appointment. We do not have birth certificate. Is 10th class mark sheet sufficient inplace of Birth certificate or Do you know from where do we get it?

Not all consulate ask for the birth certificate, but mumbai consulat do ask for it time to time.
If you dont have one , try get a affidavit for it.
