Adding a new applicant - Please advise

I booked an appointment for December'2006 for my mother. I could not add my father as he was not having Passport. He will be getting that within 10 days from now. Can I add my father to the existing visa slot of my mother by paying his application fee at HDFC bank and then going online and updating the existing application?
Please advise. I appreciate your help.

When you log into your mother's application, do you see a link on the bottom stating 'add another applicant'?

I am not sure if you can add another applicant after confirming the date for the first applicant (somebody, please confirm). If you can, then there should be a vacant slot on the same date for the same time as your mother's appointment to add your dad. It is very rare to have an open slot for the same date/time as your mother.

You may let your dad attend the interview separately.
