I dont have birth certificate

Hi ,

I am planning to sponser my parents for a visit to USA ,
when i was going through the documents to be sent for to my parents
to go for visa at chennai , it also includes the original birth certificate,
but i dont have one with me ,i only have notary affidavit instead of birth certificate.

Is that ok i can send the notary affividavit instead of birth certificate.

Any info on this regards will be really helpful.

the presently avaialble affidavit of birth is also enough. but to be on the safe side, i suggest your parents to take a notary affidavit in the place where they are residing,stating that such and such a person is born to them and that they are donfirming his date birht as such
