My parents visa issue

Hello,

My parents have their visitor's visa interview date in January 07.
On their forms they have mentioned they will sponsor their own trip.
I am debating whether it is a good idea or should i be the sponsor. How about we both sponsoring their trip; i.e. my parents and myself?

In whichever case, will they be required to make reapplication or is there any other way?

Also my H1 b renewal is due in may 07. When should i apply for the renewal ? Ideally I have been told that it should be done at least about six months prior. In that case, should I send the renewal I797 copy to my parents for their interview?

If you are working, sponsoring would be a good idea and makes the case strong.
If your parents have very strong financial bakground and have proof of funds they can be self sponsored.
so its your choice. There is no concept of joing sponsoring, either you should be the sponsor or they will be self sponsored.
About H1 renewal - You can apply 6 months before the current H1 expiry.
Yes you can send a copy of H1 renewal receipt or approval for your parents visa purpose.
