Hi

I am sponsoring my parents for visiting visa.
My elder brother is also in US. In visa consulate, if the interviewer asks about my elder brother what should my parents answer?

If my parents say that he is also in US, then there is a chance that the interviewer might ask that why is he not sponsoring and why your younger son is sponsoring.

Is it ok to say that my elder brother is in India?

Thanks,
Krishna

Hi...ALWAYS tell the truth no matter what. They should never say that a son or daughter who is in the US is in India. If they say their son is in India, and they get rejected, then if they try to reapply, and say the son is in US, the VO will question why. Sometimes they ask for the proof as well. Also if one gets caught lying, it can prevent them from ever getting visa approval. Remember, if you tell one lie to them, you have to keep telling more lies to cover that up, and eventually, you are caught. Best wishes
