Proof of employment ???

"If person is an employee, then show proof of employment and proof of leave grant from the office"

My parents are retired, mom - teacher and dad - doctor.
But I'd like to show them as working.

What exact documents are required??

Proof of employment are things like work id, letter from the company stating that you're working with them and are entitled to vacation etc.
Since your parents aren't working, well, its easy: there's nothing you can show to prove that they are!

I'm curious to know why you'd want to show that they are when they aren't. I think this lie, if caught, would jeopardize your parents' entire visa application process.

i'm single and only son... my parents retired.. is this not a bad profile...
how else can i prove that my parents will go back to India?

What about things like property, bank a/c, pension papers etc in India? Your parents should show these to show links to India.
What I feel is that its better to take a chance with showing strong property/ financial ties to India rather than taking a big risk with showing that they are working.
If you go thru this forum you'll find posts by a lot of people who's parents have got visas inspite of having just one child who is in the US.
