Hi,
My parents got 10 year visitor visa last year. They are visiting US now and they lost their passport in NY.
Now my questions is
a. Can they get old visitor visa (that was valid for 10 years) stamped again?
b. Do they need to apply for fresh visa and go through the regular interview etc
Your inputs are greately appreciated.

i guess you need to contact the Indian Embassy in New York for the lost passport, they can get one within 10-14 days. Also as far as the visa thing is concerned, I guess they wud not have to go again for the visa, however I am not 100% sure. As I said, check with the Indian Embassy in NYC.

Contact any Indian embassy in USA asap they will provide you with details. You need to report about your lost passport to local police.

Thanks guys.
I have contacted Indian embassy in NY, they said I should apply for duplicate passport / travel document in SFO (since, I live in CA, and NY thing is only a visit). Also, I have police report from NY.
In other words, getting duplicate passport matter is clear. What I 'm concerned about is their Visa for them to visit US again.
