Edits to DS-156 after appointment is booked.

My parents have visa interview in Chennai on 7th SEPT.While taking appointmnet I have my fathers occupation incorrect.Initially he didnt wanted to show his current employment rather go with agriculturist as he does both. My question is can I change the my fathers occupation in DS-156.I have a option to go and edit but wanted to know if someone had similar experience. Also I am unable to find birth certificate as I am the sponsor.Is it a required document. Thanks in advamce :)

You can modify. No problem.
Also I am unable to find birth certificate as I am the sponsor.Is it a required document.

I believe it is a required doc. if you can't find it get an affidavit.
