Disagree!!!!
what mustangs mileage? 12-14 mi? That sux and if u are rich then u can manage the high gas prices. Toyota, honda are good and are economicalfrom a mileage and less maintenance point of view. thats one of the reasons desis prefer it!!!!

Alsoi fyou plan to sell a mustang after a couple of years you will not even get half the price for what you paid!

guys I am bit concerned asw which one to buy to start with. I am moving to NJ from Singapore. No driving license yet. Probably I will take one month vacation to to india , get a license and directly fly to NJ. From your discussion I think Honda might be a good choice. What you expienced ppl say?

It is not easy to decide which car to buy unless you come here. Honda is no wonder a good car, but it will also depend on how much you earn, what kind of loan amount you qualify for, etc.. If you work in nyc where public transport is good you can make do without a car for a few months, save some and then think of buying a car.

first of all, it depends on what u want in ur car.

some examples

Reliability - go for honda, toyota or nissan, cant go wrong.

luxury - BMW, Benz, Lexus, Infinity, Acura

Sport - corvette, BMW

American cars suck more than japanese cars, very unreliable. dont expect to keep them for more then 3-5 yrs w/o problems.

American cars are the worst cars I have ever seen. I feel a Hyundai Santro is a better option than Chevy Caviliar or a Chevy Cobalt.

Mustang may be the best convertible made in America however that does not mean that American cars are good. Their gas mileage SUCKS. Their interiors are pathetic (all plastic). Look at cars like Toyota Camry, Honda Accord or for that matter Mazda 6. They look like beauties.

American cars may be good at safety features, remember, Ford 500 won the best safety award, but then it was designed by Volvo people. American cars are best in the worst gas mileage section.

Well, I drive Rio5 and my husband drives BMW....you know what.... rio gives very good mileage whereas BMW nowhere close to mine, but he thinks his car is the best.....

well americans are finally waking up and realizing that now they need cars with better gas mileage rather than cars with bigger engines which SUCK at gas mileage. One of my friend (desi guy) got himself a Jeep Commander which gives him 10 miles to a gallon on highway, he is totally shocked with the current gas prices  and wants to get rid of his gas guzzler asap.
