videotape compatibility

Just a quick query, do you know if VHS tapes are compatible between Canada + the UK?

I want to send my friend in England something I taped here in Toronto.

Tpas are Fine. But the format does matters.
Canada VCR uses NTSC while in Europe UK, and Asia its PAL.
If your friend had VCR which can playback NTSC its fine. OR convert into PAL format and then send or Ask him to get it converted into PAL.
