Dear All,
My father has received twice visitor visa rejection. Both the time he and my mother had both applied for together for the visa. This year I asked my mother to go alone for her visa and she got her 1 year visitor visa approved. She specifically told the officers that her intentions are honorable as her husband is not coming with her. Hence, she will return back to him. Well now I want to sponsor my father's visa and see if I can sponsor him. I want some help as how do I present his case to the consulate. Someone advised that if one has visa stamps of Europe and UK then it is easy to get USA visitor visa. Do you think I should ask my father to go to Europe for a visit and then apply. Do you think this strategy will help. Or should I be simply honest and tell them that my father is a Principal in an Engineering College and has responsibilities of his old father he does not have any intentions of settling in the USA......
Please help.

Thanks,
Manjiri

HI Majiri,

Dont waste your efforts of time and money by sending your papa to UK in the hope that US Visa will be approved. My father has been to US 10 years ago, since then he travelled to all over UK and Australia too, but when i applied for his visitor's visa and they had the appt in JAn'06. After the interview, they just informed us that it'll take 2 months for admin process to be completed, there is no word from them yet and no helpful answer either when we call except for it's still pending.

So, my honest opinion is to do your best as u said tell them that he's a prinicipal of a college, and he get's only 2 months vacation, so he felt it'll be a good idea to visit you and come back. Since your grand pa is living with him, ask your papa to take pictures of him and ur dad together, so that it'll be as convincing as it can.

Good luck !

BTW, my dAd didnt go to UK and australia in any hope that this US will work, my sis lives in Australia and his europe visit was totally a vacation.

I dont think what your heard is entirely true.
Visa authorties has thier own creteria and having a visa ofr other country does not make case any stronger.
I would say let him applyt again with normal process and prepare well for theinterview and he can get it. Tehre are many in similar situtation who gor the visa in 3rd of more attempts. Good luck !
