customs limit for electronics in India

My parents are leaving to India and want to carry some electronics, Do anybody know the limit for the items to carry to India from US.

Keep the receipt with u.
One personal items like camera etc...
Also depends on if you can tackle with Custom peole, as they try to chaet and fool..innocent people on the name of rules, be firm with them..
