I want to buy DVD for my home in India. I need to know what are the points i need to take care? I know India is in Region 5 and USA is in Region 1. When i ask the Indian who sells DVD, he tells me that hindi DVDs work in India too? Is it true......Pls

First of all, you should have learnt buy now not to trust an uneducated Indian salesman or any salesman for that matter :) This is a honest reply.
Go for a Sampo DVE 631CF. It works on 110 & 220v. Plus this player can be hacked to be multi region (very simple hack). You can even watch JPGs written to CDR. Go to area450.com and read through the info.
I bought the above player from amazon 2 months back. Have hacked it and have tested many types of vcds,cdr, dvds on it. No complaints. Haven't been able to test it for multi region. Will do it after I get back from vacation. Hope thi helps.
PS: Sampo is phasing this player out so get it fast while you can.

I came to USA on 12th Oct.2002 on visit visa. Now i am going back to india.requesting to clarify as following.
1.Limit of electronic items can carry
2.Cardless phone
3 Amount of chaklets and Biscuts can carry
4. limit of gold can carry
All the above said items for own use only
Since i donot know the usage of the website and i am feeling happy for providing the web site.
