My parents have an interview at Delhi Consulate on 10th July.
All the paper work is all set.I want to ask a question to all experienced members on this board:

My parents have 3 children
1) Son citizen of Australia (father only visited him once and returned).
2) Son in Indian army (obviously posted to different places).
3) Daughter in USA.

Can this residency of son and daughter in different countries become a point of concern?
I mean one can think there are not enough ties back in India (none of the kids live with the parents).
My parents have enough property of their own to show reasons to return to India .

Is it advisable to tell the son is in the army here?they will return back to be with son's family.
After reading a few posts I'm concerned about the hold put on peoples visas who are in certain jobs where extra information is always sought.

Is it advisable to say that the son is in the Army???

Kindly suggest.

Hello Sunshinestate,

If they ask, tell them the truth. But I would strong suggest to carry, the property papers, bank statement with the lastest statement (Indian bank),

Few tips

1) purpose of vist. to meet my daugther and tourism
2) gurantee of return: my bank account, property and my relatives
3) any travel dates: tentative bookings but will confirm upon receipt of visa.

You have to be confident and do not lie under any circumstances, because if you do then to cover that lie you tell another one, which loses the concentration and you are caught.

VO are human beings but they have been in the field for long time to understand the other person.

My parents have the same opinion -as to there's no need to lie. about any of the details. But somehow, I'm getting a bit anxious as time is nearing.

It is pretty natural to get anxious. I was anxious too when my mother in law went for her interview.

It is okay to for the parents to tell, they intent to fly to so and so date and will return by this period. What the advantage will be that the VO is convinced that they are coming back to the country.

And ofcourse the other financial and supporting documents will there to support the intentions of coming back.

Do not worry, be positive and hope for a good outcome.
