I am planning to carry my Kenwood car CD player to India. Is it possible to use US car dash CD player in Indian cars?

I think there won’t be any problem with format or voltage. (Please correct me if I am wrong). Will there be any problem with the installation? Will it fit properly?

Has anyone done this in the past? Any feedback will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Ashish,

Unlike for Video there is no format for Audio. The CD player should work fine when fixed in India because no matter what type the CD player is, it plays from the battery power of your car which is 12V/24V.

My friend brought a pioneer from goodguys and got it installed in Hyderabad. He says no issues, so you should be okay.

PS: Take the cd player to a reputed place to install it, if there is any conflict the mechanic should be able to adjust it in terms of current rating etc. etc..

By the way once fixed please post your comments here for future guys.
