Hi there,

I am applied for a vistor visa and got August date. Can anybody help me to tell what is the minimum amount or balance i have to show to the visa officer. or is the amount matters to the visa officer. I am going to visit my friend in the US or for couple of weeks. My return ticket will be paid for the trip.
I have around Rs 10,00,00 ( One Lakh) plus credit card. I am working for the airline and have rest of the papers like NOC letter from company.

What are my chances of getting the visa based on that.

You need to show more money in cash in your bank account. 1 lakh is too less. You need to show some property in your name too, like land, house etc.
I think showing ties with one's country is very important, evenif your friend sponsors your trip, you still need to show property documents in India.
