I have tried a lot of calling card sites and even ones we get in stores.
I have used Taxi cards, WQN, Valuecom and 9278.
Of all these I hve now settled down with 9278. They have good all over india rate of 202 mins for $50, though I don't like the 6 minutes rounding. But that is fine if u are making long calls. SO I am comfortable with that type of 9278 card.
Please post of any good site anyone else knows of.

A good card I have been using since a year now is from Sabah International. Call them give your credit card number they will give your right away 1 sec billing card with no any hidden charges for cities, for the rest of India it would be 1 min. billing with no any hidden charges. Call them at 1-888-6798282 9:00 am - 9:00 pm. EST. ($45 - 119 min.)
get Asia Time card from phonecardsonly.com . This card has got 1 minute rounding. You get connection usually on first attempt most of the times. After a long time I had some relief from these bad cards..try for hours and not get the connection.I will recommend to use this card to call anywhere in India.
I have been using Razacomm.com cards , they seem to work well only thing is you may have to make a few calls to the customer service if you lose mins (you do that often now a days)

I have tried about all sort of cards out there in the market and foud most of them real waste. The worst experience i had is with the ^$#% card named desiplus.
oh, man , What a cheating that card is. They claim 20 minutes for $4.50 to ANYWHERE IN INDIA. Moreover when they start the call they announce that you have 20 minutes remaining. I have a siemens phone which has a timer on it. First time I found that the moment it reached 15 minute (including the time i took to dial the number) it simply got cut off. That was a one shot call. Thinking I did some mistake, I tried it again 2 times. Both times same thing happened. Then I tried the ACC (THE BEST) you pay $4.50 and you will talk for 17 minutes. This 17 minute is after you start conversation. Not from the time you start hearing ringing tome from other side. My timer went on till 18 min 35 seconds for most of the call. (from the moment I start dialing) This is realy really the best.

From the comments of all users I found that cards from .9278.com and callhippo.com are Good. I myself have tried .9278.com. Its OK Not bad.
Can anybody suggest which card is best from .callhippo.com?

Callnation.com is a fraud. For a card that I purchased, it only says "the minute information is based on if the card is used in one call" which is understandable considering the rounding of minutes. But it did not mention that 'All calls placed after first call will be billed at higher rates' and also the minutes deducted were twice the time actually spoken. My issue was not solved even after several calls to their customer service.

I come to know about this website recently from a friend. This is really GOOD. Good quality, voice is very clear. 30 seconds rounding. no connection fee etc. No maitenance fee even. Its definitelly better than any card.
Use this link below and create an account. U will get 40 points for opening an account. When u make ur first purchase for 10$, u will get a PIN and 10 more points will be added to ur account. Redeem those 50 points in ur account to get a free PIN worth 10$. So, for ur first purchase of 10$ worth, u will get 20$ worth of call time. And u will get 10 more points in ur account
www.******.com/cgi-bin/si...eral=ravee (http://www.******.com/cgi-bin/signup.cgi?referal=ravee)
U will get a referel link. U fwd it to ur friends and u will get points on the purchases they made.
Its worth trying. U wont regret it. I use the same cards for calling to India. For cities it gives like 1 hr 55 mins for 8$ (u will spend 10$ but u will get back 10 points worth of 2$). Since the rounding time is only 30secs, u will lose no minutes between calls. For villages and small towns u will get not less than 1 hr 20 mins.
Just buy the first PIN, u will get one more PIN for free!!
All the best!!

i read all those complaints at complaints.com and read what u have 2 say.
check this site www.relianceindiacall.com they have a link " how to choose a calling card" ....read it....it talks all about the hidden costs in the calling cards.
the reliance guys have started this calling service to india.
They have no hidden costs. These rich buggers actually own the network from states to india no wonder i get awesome voice quality. instant connections.
i got introduced to the service through www.fatwallet.com ....they have 2 threads running on reliance indiacall. every1 is talking about this latest service. Amazingly low rates and amazingly high quality. just 11.9 cents per min . even to mobile phones and no hiddden costs.
I dont think i am looking anymore for new cards.
spread the word about this new service and lets put an end to these fraud calling card business.

IF not mentioned by anyone else previously then dont used calling cards anymore...
Dhirubhai has done good job by creating vision for Reliance Indrustries " Karlo Duniya Muthi mein" with their Mobile serivce. Reliance has over 60,000km fiber optic lines in india and now they have bought global fiber optics network company called "Flagcom".
use www.Relianceindiacall.com their quality is better then ATT. I mean it. when you make a call to your XYZ city in India starting from NYC or LA up to the local exchange in India, your call is carried on Reliance's fiber optics lines.
All this for only 11.9 cents/min & yes they offer both postpaid and prepaid without switching your long distance carrier.
Goodluck! :D

Has anybody tried Amantel's calling cards? They advertise a rate of 6c per minute to India!!
That sounds too good to be true.....
although they do have 3 minute rounding..
If anybody has used them, can you please write about your overall experience in terms of voice quality, connectivity etc?
Many thanks! :)

Can't believe that you guys have not heard of indiamama.com .
This card gives you 82 min for $10 and credits one point for every dollar you spend and then you can convert those points into dollars for purchasing calling card . I have been using this cards for one year now and I have earned close to $160 worth of calling time free in one year total Sometimes it gives you sweet little schemes like "if you deposit $15 right now we will credit your account for $25 " . I think the quality of the" pinless dialing card " where you register your phone number is just excellent .. it does not eat any minutes and no taxes or hidden fees .
On top of it , you can refer people and can earn points for that too .
So guys please use my referral for sign up and give it a try .
indiamama.
In the end it's worth it ..

for whole of india reliance is da best. same ratte ne where in india, whether it be cell phone land line, satellite phone. i think its 12c/min
they dont take away unused mins either, so its worth it, even if slightly more expensive
have u tried voip?
thats also pretty good, in case u dont have a calling card on u for emergencies.
try www.vonage.com
also good for usa, canada unlimited plans are awesome

i tried voip also... it works sometimes, but there are also times when you feel you are talking under water... or there are huge delays.. i think that most callingcard providers use low quality carriers and that why there are so many problems... However, when I'll find one that I'm happy with I'll stick with them. And recommend it further. So far... nothing. :D

Hi guys!
I see that no one has posted in a while... Well, I have some good news.. As you can see I have been complaining for some time that I cannot find a reliable calling card. This time I might be in luck! One of my friends recommened me www.callingcardshome.com and when I tried it I was very satisfied with the quality of the card and the prompt service I received. I'm sticking with these guys right now... Especially since the holidays are coming I'll be recharging my account...
FYI... If you decide to get a card from them, I learned that they have a referral program and if you refer people you get 10$ for each new signup. My friend alredy got his 10 bucks...

i checked out the website and indeed it looks ok ... good rates ... i really hope you found the card that you were looking for.
Thank God that there are some companies still doing ok on this callingcard market. To call anywhere it has become a problem because of poor quality and poor connectivity.
I will try and see what happens ... in the mean time i came up with another website looks ok to me and i think they have good rates. it's called Callingcards.siteburg.com (http://callingcards.siteburg.com) Take a look at it.

There is a website www.callbycard.net (http://www.callbycard.net) who is giving $5 calling
card of Mother India for $4.50 with 10% discount. You have to buy $ 20
worth calling card in a transaction to avoid $ 1 transaction charge.
Also don't buy other calling cards from 800 + list even though
they are showing more minutes per dollar there will be maintenance
charges and you will get less minutes.
Only Mother India is the Best Card on this site with no
maintenance fee and best quality of voice without echo.

The best website that i have found for both domestic and international phone cards is www.ldpost.com. they seem to offer the cheapest rates and the best customer service if problems were to arise. also if you buy 100 dollars worth of minutes at one time they will give you 10% back!

Hello all.
Nobel's phone cards are the best, thanks to:
- rechargable option, online administration, trustworth company. (it is located in Carlsbad California).
- Nobel use their own infrastructure (network, pins, customer care, etc)
- they are providing services to other "big" .com companies, on google's top 10; pins, customer care services, network.
- ONLY Nobel had the 60% rate of conectivity (the higher on this market ;) from a good source ), thanks to the fact that they use their own network equipments and technicians. ( I know some of them)
They sell the cards trough affiliate website like this: www.connect2phonecard.com
You'll choose the card there, then go to Nobel's to validate the purchase.
RATES are fair.
For example, look at the rates for India:
Hello Bombay Card
Rate: 7.4 cent/minute
-------------------------------------
Talk Bombay Card
Rate: 7.9 cent/minute
-------------------------------------
Call Bombay Card
Rate: 8.4 cent/minute
And many more !
For each big city in India a special customized phonecard is available, or a general one for India (Hello India, Talk India, etc)
Enjoy it ! ;) www.connect2phonecard.com

Hi All,
I have seen lots of complaints regarding call nation (callnation.com) calling cards, untill now I was just heelpless and dont know what to do about these cheaters.
I have lost $40 worth till now, any card that you purchase from Call nation which as no connection fee, no monthly fee etc.. They all give minutes less then 1/2 of what they advertized , some cases it displays 98 minutes and gives 37 minutes !! its same for most of the cards.
I called Customer Service many times, its 4/5 months now and the issue is still not resolved . I am did some research to find how to have our voice heard to Consumer Complaint department and I found they recommend filing complaints at below sites . They will ask look into this matter if they see a pattern . I request everyone that got cheated by this company to file complaint to below sites and lets get callnation to realize that they cant get away by minting money like this by cheating customers.

Hi
I recently came upon a website from the UK that sells quite a lot of good running calling cards. Their prices are pretty good and their customer service is excellent. :)
I like all the perks they have when registering for an account etc. Try it out. :)
http://www.u2call.com
Apparently, they sell cards in 3 countries and are growing with their database. I use A2Z countries calling card. By far it has to be the best of them all. 1200 minutes all over Europe. Incredible. They sell the card for UK Pound 4.99. Everywhere else, it sells for UK Pound 5.50 or more. Plus they give a free card for every new customer that signs up. :)

In my opinion, this one is better than a calling card and you get free minutes to many countries you may want to call. You can also receive 473 free minutes to anywhere in the USA.
I think they give you 73 free calling minutes to India. The site is http://www.midastel.com

You can save 100's of dollars by setting up voip in your home in India. I and a few freinds of mine have succesfully setup voip with the help of a guy in chennai. This guy has come up with a website
I am posting this assuming it would be helpfull for current or future members in path2usa who are interested in VOIP. BY just spending a few dollars you can talk limitless with your parents and relatives at home.

Hi,
I find a card called www.uspcard.com
It was referred by one of my friend.
Pros:
1. They don't have any hidden costs.
2. round up upto seconds.
3. 9 cents per minute
4. No tax like reliance. (If you buy a card with reliance, you have to pay state tax)
5. Quality is good
Cons:
1. Does not connect well at peak time
2. Minimum 10$ card
If any one interested, let me know

well I had a horrible time with reliance, there calls automatically disconnects after 60 minutes and then gives hell a lot of problem. I contacted the Customer care but they didnt seem to understand my problem. Their supervisors lie and their manager is never on the floor. Very bad experience man! Avoid using Reliance

hardcore.....,
I was using reliance to call my parents until I found Packet8 few months ago. It was okay for me. Infact I found reliance more easy to use than calling cards.

Friends,
Another alternative is using broadband phone like packet8, vonage etc so that your parents call you to your landline or cell phone....and you can call them anytime unlimited for just 20$ a month.
I sent packet8 adapter to India couple of months back and right now I am able to call my parents and vice versa .The quality is good when talking on a celll phone. But there seems to be some static while using the landline from my office.
Why don’t you try something like that? But be careful. I have had friends who took vonage to India but it did not work. It also depends on the Internet provider in India.
I too don’t know much details but I read it at www.desivonage.com forums and decided to send it. It is really worth it. I am talking to my mom and dad for hours everyday. Also, the fun part is they can call anybody in USA and also anybody can call them from USA.
They should have a separate phone and connect this phone to the adapter and this new phone will get a US number. It is like you are calling somebody in US itself.

Dear Fellows,
Avoid L9-Tel calling card by all means. They are just so unprofessional, incompetent shameless liars. Bunch of cons. They will tell you "Give us five
chances if our circuits fail, before asking for refund". Their circuits and
infrastructures are faulty. Minutes will be counted wrongly. If you use 45
mts, it will count 66 mts. It won't eventually make any economic sense. I am
right now fighting to get my refund back. They are such shameless mean
liars, I have not come across such in my life. They are a shame to our whole
nation being a call center facility representing L9tel from India.
If somebody calls you from L9tel trying to sell their calling card to you, don't
even continue talking with them. Just say 'no' and hang up. Not doing that is the mistake I did about 10 days ago.

The calling card I sell will cost you between $9-11 cents per minute depending upon where you call.
However one notable difference between the card I sell and the vast majority of other calling cards, it that there aren't any extra fees. For instance, most calling cards charge you stuff like connection fees, disconnection fees, just about any fee that they can tack on legally, but the card I sell doesn't do that.
Feel free to take a look at my website: http://superiorphoneservice.com
I mostly sell reload-able cards (e.g. You pay a monthly fee and the card renews adds a respective number of minutes each month), but if anyone just wants to try out the card to see that there aren't any hidden fees I can sell them a promotional $5 dollar card. One $5 card at $0.09 cents at minutes is 56 minutes...
Cheers,
Nathan

There is a website www.callbycard.net (http://www.callbycard.net) who is giving $5 calling
card of Mother India for $4.50 with 10% discount. You have to buy $ 20
worth calling card in a transaction to avoid $ 1 transaction charge.
Also don't buy other calling cards from 800 + list even though
they are showing more minutes per dollar there will be maintenance
charges and you will get less minutes.
Only Mother India is the Best Card on this site with no
maintenance fee and best quality of voice without echo.
Happy Calling !!!
.... or you can buy directly and use the SAPAS promo code...
quote:
WOW!
eg The discounts are based on the amount you purchase BUT the rate calculates to less than 5cents a min to anywhere in India.
$10 - 10% discount
$25 - 16% discount
$100 - 20% discount
$250 - 22% discount
$1000 - 34% discount
I am sold on this company. Try it!!! is all I can suggest and share the site.
