Buying a car. Driving in US. (Irish Fella)

:) I'm moving to Florida in October. Can I buy and drive a car immediately??
I don't want to rent a car for longer than 1-2 weeks. I have heard about needing to re-sit a test in the state of Florida?? If so, can I drive the car I'm buying whilst waiting on this? Can I get insurance also if I'm waiting on a visitors visa result and living with grandparents?

Any help on either questions would be very appreciated.

U need a IDP (International lic)if u r coming from Ireland or i moving in US then renew ur lic in specific period (30-60 days) , then u can drive car .
U can buy car immidately without lic.
U need to look for Insurance comp. who can insure u .
