Hi,

Thanks for building such a usefull site.

I will be probably be appearing for H1b Visa interview in few days, my question is :

In my childhood i got my right hand index finger struck in a Gate which has caused a permanent scar (which is in fact a line) . This is a permanent mark and had not gone since last 20 years. Although my marks on finger are properly visible its just a line passes through aproximately 1 cm below the tip of finger. This is on just this right hand index finger

1. Is this can be a problem to US consulate at the time of interview.
2. Is it can be a problem while US Department of State while they will scan my finger at the time of my arrival in US.

Please rely to this..since i am in kind of confused stage.

Thanks
Nikhil

This may be a valid concern , but they wont refuse the visa becuase of this problem and there msut be some ways around for them in such situation. Dont worry.

What should i take as precautions...

->Shall i take Doctor Medical certficate that is a permanet mark
or shall i wait before they say me anything...

BTW ideally for which all Fingers do they take impression...and how much can one line create a problem ..when my rest of the impression is clear.(Means my fingerprint impression is clear ....)

Well I Don't See What Impression You Are Talking About...

They Can Take Foor Impression Also

Or

Iris Scan Is Also There...

Also You Can Ask For Left Thumb Impression Or You Can Ask Doctor To Put Plaster Of Paris On Your Right Thumb On The Date Of Your Interview.... They Will Absolve You And Your Impression Will Also Be :) Balle.. Balle..

What 2 Say Nikhs
