H1B Transfer

Hello senior members/ Friends,

Thanks in advance for clarifying my doubt...

Recently I transfered my H1B to a new company(I-797 is valid till 2009) and i have valid visa till 2007(issued in the name of my old Company).
Now i am going to canada for visa restamping as my wife is going for H4stamping in india.

Now my doubt is whether there will be any problem in H1 restamping as i have a valid visa till next year and if i got the stamping then how the number of visa years will be effected as i may loose one valid year from my old visa.

I appreciate your valuable reply and kind help in this regard.

when u revalidate the h1 u will get stamping till the end date on new petition. you won't lose any h1 status time.
