If you are calling your parents, Search for Medical health card, where you get some discount on physician charges, you pay rest from your pocket and pre-existing condition is covered (do some research here too). I didn’t get single penny from insurance. , I received a letter 4 month After submitting claim saying closing of file because of lack of response. So don’t trust on this shore term insurance. About deductible if you get first charges of $900 and $70 is deductible, they will mail you first letter saying $70 applied to deductible and remaining ineligible, no explanation for that. After that all claims closing of file because lack of resources.

There is no such medical card for temp visitors to USA.
Even if you are thinking to have discounted rate for any Medicare, its more hypothetical then reality.

I know How painful it is to deal with any accounting related problem in this country, even for small due payments the collection agency makes your life miserable..

How about medicines? Do you know presubscribed medicines, how costly they are?
