Collecting passport - pls help

Hi all,

My parents have visitor visa interview in chennai next week. I had a question reagarding collecting the passport.

If the visa is granted, can they collect the passport on the same day between 1600 - 1700 hrs in chennai ? they have their interview in the morning around 8

Also , is the passport given at the same place where the interview is gonna be held ? If it is given in a different place can somebody please give me the address. I would really appreciate any help in this matter.

There is a service called Rush Service where with some addtional fee you can pickup same day. I am not sureit is avilable in cheanni or not, it is avilable for Mumbai consulate for sure though.
