A company is US XYZ has applied for H1 for one of my friends (currently working in india) for the yr 2007. the h1 approval as not come yet. but the recipt date has come.
the client ABC of the company XYZ needs my firnd to come urgently to start work on a project. however the H1 start date will only be 1st october.
Q1-- can the US company XYZ apply for a B1 visa for my friend and call him to US to start the work on the project. and then later change the status to H1 when the approval has come?
Q2- will my frind need to go back to india for the H1 stamping?
Q3 - will it have any negative effects on the status/application of my friend.
Q4- can my friend work here on a B1 visa at all?
