hi all

I want to thank everyone in this forum for their support which I found very useful.

My parents visa was rejected on MAy 17th at chennai. My husband sponsored them. the reason given to my parents by the VO was not enough evidence for a research scholar to support his inlaws.

To give some back ground info, My husband works as a research scholar at a reputable medical institution. He was on H1B and I was on H4.Our EAD is now approved and this was shown to the consulate.

I got a job in JAn 06, but do not start work until this summer. this was not mentioned in the paperwork submitted as my husband processed the paperwork in dec 05.

we did provide documents of our bank statements, pay stubs etc.

My concerns are

1. Will my parents get anything in writing about the rejection from the consulate
2. what other evidence should we show for a research scholar.

3. If I sponsor my parents now, will there be an issue as My job was not mentioned earlier??

My head spins thinking about these and plese could someone advice.

Thanks

Sivapriya

1. They have already got a letter, just afer the intervieew thats the one, if not there wont be any additional letter.

2. I guess the key in this case is sponsoro's Financial postion and his job, if he would have been in a permament job that might have a better case.

3. You can sponsor, if you can show a good bank balance.
