is translator a good option in mumbai consulate

hi,
my parents got an appoinment, but they are not comfortable with english.
wanted to know is translator a good option or are their any related issues if we keep a translator.
help me out regarding this issue. is it good keeping or not.:)

It is always a good idea to have interpreter when u r not comfortable in english. One should be confident while interview and should understand their questions completely before answering them.
