Hi all,
I am on a h1b visa issued in the U.S. I came here on a tourist visa and converted to h1 . I want to go to India now as my sister is getting married.. I am scared that they would deny me as I dont have a real professional job such as IT etc..Pls gimme advice with past experience in such a matter, as i am scared to go but i really wanna go coz i havent been home in 5 yrs.

If you have proper documents and meet other requirements, you should not have any problem, however if you are not confident and do not meet the requirements you may indeed have issue in getting the stamp.
( You can analyse and assess your situation better and take the right step )

My Sister has done her Masters in India and has got a new job now.I want her to visit USA for say about 1-2 months time.My parents are in India.Is it difficult to get the Visa for her?My parents have M entry10 yrs visa.What is the assured way of getting visa for her.It will be pure tourism.


Any Suggestions?

you need to consult a immigration lawyer fro ur case.

if u want to bring ur sister on a tourist visa then u would need to show financial docs if ur the sponsor, vistors' health insurance, etc. look in forum for details. ur parents visa has nothig to do wheter ur sister gets the visa or not.


(Dude, 'pure tourism' looks like u want to have ur sister here and get her a H1 too. Just Dont try to stay back illigeally on ur visitors' visa 'cause even if transfer/file for H1 & gets approved the moment u leave US you would be disbarred from rentry).
