Questions Regarding Port of entry

Hi All,

I am coming to US on a H1B visa and my Employer is based in Richmond Virginia, But as there are no direct flights available, I am travelling thru Chigago. My understanding is that my POE will be chigago only. My questions are

1) Is it ok if my Port or entry is another state than the state of my employer? Is it necessary that my POE should be the same as my employer?
2) What all documents should I carry at the POE
3) WHat kind of question may I face at the POE.

Any answers will be appreciated.

Generally you have to get POE in the same place as yor employer. If you have a valid reason you can enter it in another place. You should give a valid reason to POE officer.

2) What all documents should I carry at the POE

The Documents like your Approval notice and your passport, employer offer letter etc.

3) WHat kind of question may I face at the POE.

The main question will be about your POE.
The Port of entry interview will be similarly as your Visa Interview.
