i ahve applied for i-485.
now what is the next procedure.
when will ur status from h1 change?
andhow long does it usually take?

As soon as you are past 180 days on your
485, you gets an "independent" immegration status.

After 180 days, you DO NOT have to worry about
your H1-B status because you no longer need
non-immegrant visa. However, you can use
your unexpired H1-b to visit India. This will
save your parole fee during 485.
