My friend has applied for visitor visa. His appointment is scheduled on August 9. As he has already recd sponsor, till what time sponsor is valid? Does he have to get sponsor revalidated if it is over 6 moths time when he approaches appointment?

Not sure what the question is? U must send all sponsor's docs (I134 etc) and also provide the info in the ds156, 157 forms. There is no such thing as sponsor invalidation irrespective of when the i/v is scheduled.
