My parents are going for stamping at Chennai consulate in the 2nd week of march’06.But my father didn’t get NOC from the concerned department as he is retiring in the end of march’06.so the concerned department provided him an official list of members who are retiring in the following month instead of NOC. My parents are planning to visit US some time in the May’06.
My questions:
1. Is NOC compulsory while attending interview at the consulate? Even in this case? What to tell consulate officer if they ask about NOC.
2. Mentioning about the retirement to the consulate officer, will any way affect getting Visa?
