H1b Extension Approved but Very Confused Please help

Hi Senior Members/Murli,

My first h1b approved on Feb 2001. but I came to USA on Jun 2002. I filed another h1b in 2003 March after changing my company. I got approval upto APR 2006. I filed extension three month before in premium processing. I got approval but valid for only APR 2007 so, only one year.

While I have still 2 years remaining in six years completion

Please advise why they approved for only 1 Year

It is diffficult to know the answer for Why, without knowning the case specifics.
The answer is you can file another extension, discuss with your ocmpany HR/Legal dept and they should help you in filing the extension.

Did u request 1 year or 2 years on I129? If u still have more time left on ur h1, u can file for another extension to get the balance time
