:(
My mother in law had an appointment at chennai consulate on 2nd Feb. She had all the necessary docs from me, property papers, unmarried sons birth certificate. She had a telugu translater. She went in for the interview, and before that she was finger printed not once but twice. The VO asked her just 3 questions
How Many Children Do you have
What do your Children Do
Where does your son work.
She answered all of them
He asked her for the docs which I hd sent from here, browsed through them and said she cant have a visa. He gave her a 214-b form.
Can someone help me with why may have that happened and what do I do next.

It is difficult for any one to know or guess what might have gone wrong, you can be the best judge ask her in more details.
read this :

She can apply again , read on this forum and experience section , similar post where people got visa after 2nd or 3rd attempt.
