Hi
I have some health problems now and i would like to book an emergency appoinment for my parents. what is the procedure to book an emergency appointment...
i heard that we need to write a letter to the consulate that what is the reason for scheduling emergency appoinment and then after seeing our letter consulate Visa Officers will decide whether the stated reason is valid or not and then only they willl give us permisssion to book the emergency appointment.
but i am still not sure what exactly to do now to book the emergency appointment immediately.
Please share or do give me some suggestions if any body ever had taken emergency appointment.

I really appreciate your early response as it is urgent.

Thanks alotttt in Advance.

u must take emergency appts on vfs website or by visiting vfs personally
If taking online appt, click on Emergency appt and it will show u the available dates.
(check vfs-usa.co.in)

Per the info on vfs website u can get emergency appts for these situations:
To obtain emergency medical care, or to accompany a relative or employer for emergency medical care.
To attend the funeral of an immediate family member (mother, father, brother, sister, child, grandparent or grandchild).
To attend to an urgent business matter where the travel requirement could not be predicted in advance.
Students or exchange visitors who are within 90 days of their start date of a valid programme and who have not been refused a visa within the last six months.
H and L visa renewals for applicants who are already working in the U.S and are returning to their jobs.
