Hi Members,
Let me first thank each and every member present here to take time and help in providing such a valuable information for all the H1 aspirants.
I had committed a biggest blunder and would like to share the same here so that others do not follow what I did.
I have attended for my interview a couple of days ago at chennai consulate.
I had been rejected twice for my F1 visa 4 years ago. After that I lost my passport and applied for a new one. Now I had been for my H1 on the new passport by mentioning that I have never applied or was refused a US visa earlier in the DS 156 form.
This is what happened in the interview.
VO: Good Evening
Me: Good Evening
VO: Is this the first time that you are applying for an US Visa?
Me: Yes
VO: Are you sure?
Me: Yes
VO: Think Again, if you are found that you are trying to mislead the US consulate, you would be barred from entering US for your life time.(In a louder voice)
Me:  I have applied for F1 in so and so year
VO:How many times
Me: Twice
VO: You should mention that in your DS 156 application sir
Me: I updated the DS 156 and gave him ( thought...I would never get the US visa again)
VO: Ok, Since when are you working with AAA? (My current Employer-Very big MNC)
Me: 1 Year 3 Months
VO: Where were you prior to that?
Me: American based company called YYY
VO:How long there?
Me:7 Months
VO: I want to see all the pay stubs of AAA
Me: Gave him all pay stubs
VO: He counted all of them and verified
VO: I want to see your AAA offer and appointment letters
Me Gave him my offer and appointment letters
VO: He verified all of them
VO: I want to see your engineering degree
Me: I gave him
VO: He scanned my document by keeping in some machine to verify if it is original
VO:I want to see all your marksheets
Me: Gave him all my marksheets
VO: He verified and returned it to me
VO: On what project would you be working on in US?
Me: Started explaining about XXX (My Client in US) and their project
VO: (Before I completed explaining about project) Where is XXX?
Me: 1234, Address, US
VO:Do you have a letter from client stating that they have selected you for this project?
Me:No
VO: I think I need some additional information from...(Picking up a green letter from his shelf)
Me: I said "But I have a letter from my employer stating that I would be working on this project"
VO: Hmmmm..anyway let me also have a look at it.
Me: I gave him the client letter that my employer has sent me
VO: Read the whole letter, typed on the computer, he took around 10 mins on his PC
VO:Gave me a letter describing all the kind of abuses that could take place in US
VO: Go all the way to Counter # 1, pay your fees and have a nice trip to US.
Me: Thank you.
This is how my interview went on. Actually they are looking for project details(like requirement doc), Resource allocation and schedule documents from client indicating the employees name and his task, complete marketing analysis document. Many people were being issued 221(g) for the same reason. I was a bit lucky that he issued me and didnt ask much on the above said docs.
