Hi Everybody,

We r expecting our baby in May 2006. And we will be going back to India by the end of this year. We may come back to US after that (only for one year or so) but as such we don't have any plans of settling down in US.

I am worried about the kids education ( US born ) in India. All schools and colleges in India have seperate fees for the NRIs. So my question is..will my child be considered an NRI and will they take the NRI fees from us ??

Thanks in Advance,
Sujana Prakash

No , I dont think so just because a child is born in other country makes the different fee. It may be the policy of few provate school etc but common.
I know lot of people who moved to India and thoer kids in studying in good schools with no such NRI quota/separte fee.
So take it easy, also make some inquiry while you planning to go back , ask your family friends etc to get the information form the school where you are planning to move.
