Hi All,
First of all I would like to thank you all for posting your experiences on this forum which is helping everyone a lot.
I have got my visa stamped on 12-01-06. Let me share my experience.
We had an appointment at 9:00 AM, so we reached to consulate at 8:30 AM and immediately they asked us to join the line. After some initial formalities of checking and taking TTS fees and 4600 drafts they asked us to go in the 2nd building. There at the counter no 9 one lady took our file, marriage certificate and marriage photographs and asked us to sit and wait for our turn.
After some time our token number was called and they handover our file to us arranged in their format and asked us to give finger prints. Lady sitting there was very friendly and was greeting everyone.
Immediately after finishing the finger prints the coordinators available there asked us to join one line. In total there were 7 counselors who were taking interviews.
There is a lady aged around 30-35, fair and with specs is very strict. She was hardly issuing visa to any one. In front of me she gave 5 221g with that same reasons..client information, timeline, marketing analysis etc. So Guys PLS BE CAREFUL, if possible try to avoid her. Don’t stand in the queue in front of her counter. There are 3 more counselors all males; they are very friendly and co-operative.
Mine was a very simple and brief discussion.

VO: Good morning
ME: Good morning Sir.
VO: Can I have your folder please?
Me: YES..Sure sir
Then he took my passport and was typing something in his system for around 5-7 minutes, as I have been to US twice on B! so I think he was trying to check the details.
VO: Can I have your degree certificates please?
Me: Sure
I passed my both Bachelors and Masters degree.
VO: One by one..first Masters and then bachelors
ME: Gave
VO can I have a mark sheet for all the semesters?
ME: Passed
As I have not done my Masters and Bachelors in Computer Science but I have around 5+ years of Experience in on of the top most company so he said
VO: Do you know that Academic wise you are eligible for the job you have applied?
Me: Sir I have more then 5 years of experience
VO: Hold On, we will discuss about your professional experience in a moment. Are u agree with that your Academic qualification doesn’t not make you qualified for the job of Programmer Analyst?
ME: I had no other option then saying YES SIR, cos I didn’t see any point in arguing with him.
VO: Fine, now tell me about your work experience
ME: I explained
VO: Do you have a letter from you employer?
ME: I showed him the offer letter
VO: Do you have your company id card?
Me: Yes Sir, I gave it
VO: Good ( I don’t know why, this time he had a smile on his face)
VO: Tell me about ur project you are going to work there
ME: Explained in brief about my employer and the project
VO: Do you have any client letter?
ME: Sir this project is outsourced to my employer and I have letter from him
VO: I said, do u have any client letter?
ME: I have a copy of the agreement between my employer and client which contain all the details (and passed it to him)
He just glanced at it
VO: it says that it is a few months project..what are u going to do after that?
ME: It is a master’s agreement which they made few months before but now the development work will continue till next year end and after that they will be giving the support.
VO: But what u will do after that?
ME: (I was not expecting this question, so not prepared for it) I simply said I will be working for another client.
VO: Who is that client?
ME: I told one name from the list of existing clients of y employer
VO: do u have any document supporting that?
ME: I have a list of existing clients of my employer and this name is mentioned there and passed it ..
VO: he just looked at it, Take this token and pay your fees. Have a nice trip..

It was really unexpected thing for me cos he didn’t ask for any other document while I was carrying the entire possible thing, my tax returns, investments my company W2 etc, and also not even a single question to my wife who was there for H4 but the lady in the next counter was asking for each and everything and also rejected 2 H4 also.
I think getting a visa stamped is just purely depends on your luck and ur faith on GOD because he is having the final powers.

TIPS: Try to carry all the possible documents with you. You never know that what they will ask. I was saved by my employer’s client list.
Try to avoid that lady and argue with them.

Regards,
