I sent my papers (passport copies, tax papers, invitation letter, employment letter, bank statement etc) at the end of Dec to my parents in India to file an application for the visitor's visa. They would most probably get an appointment for April.
I just got to know that these papers will be required only at the time of interview (i.e after 3 months). Does that mean the documents like employment letter, pay stubs, invitation letter, bank statement (which are time-critical) could be considered invalid at the time of interview? Would I need to send these docs again?
Your advice is appreciated.

Usually its better if the papers are less than 45 days old..

see this..

Try to send your documents as latest dated as possible, do not hold for long time, it doesn't mean to be very latest , 1 months/ 45 days is ok but not more then that.
