Hi,
My date of birth in DS156 is wrong and uneditable through the VFS site ;-( !!
I read somewhere in the forum that taking a fresh printout of DS156 and circling in red the edited field during the interview is the only way.
has someone done it
Please do share your experience.
My interview is tommorow !!!

Hi,
Probably for Sunny , since only one digit change was there, the corrected by hand was not noticable ?
For me since the month of birth is wrong , I have taken a fresh DS156 form an filled in the details.
I was thinking that taking the corrected form alone will suffice.
But To be on safer side since interview is only 3 hours away I will take the older form also...
I will let you folks know what happened .
bye

Hi,,
My visa got rejected ;-(
Even though I applied for B2 only for 15 days and had all the relevant docs....
Anyway to answer question baout wrong date of birth..I had taken a new copy of DS156 from site and filled it with correct details.
The consular officer himself immediately caught the change and made changes to his records after confirmation with me
Much Dissapointed

Hi Sunny,
Nope they did not even look at the documents.
Just the officer took the DS156 forms asked a few questions and rejected.
Since I had applied along with my MIL , who is a single mom, I think it got rejected.
Craziest system of all if you ask me,,,,what can one do to change that status !!
getting admissions to schools / colleges , jobs would be easier and merit based comapred to this whimsical system
;-(
