hi,
i got 221g for the second time , as the VO felt the additional documents do not really have the information in the format they were looking for.
when i was waiting for my turn , i saw VO was rejecting two 221g candidates for the same kind of reasons.
folks, based on my experience, this is what the lesson i learnt. could be useful for some
people to get an idea abt all these processing.
Though we carry a bunch of documents to prove that we have a job at usa, what an officer needs is a letter from the employer, which is well formatted, readable and the all the required information to the point.
i did the mistake, where without such letter ,
when i was asked first time 221g for internal product description/timeline/status/no of
resources/market analysis info,
i carried the following:
1) a project schedule xl sheet (with module level status/resource/time line detail) print out
2) tasks allocation xlsheet printout with tasks assigned on my name.
3) product functional guide print out( here the funny thing it is a 182 page document and my employer asked me to take a print out of all pages, though i had taken only 30 pages. and my employer's idea is if we carry lots of documents, then VO will not get a doubt and give visa)
4) market analysis for product which is 15 pages long.
5) a letter from the employer stating that what are the additional documents attached/company information etc.
i was really happy to get all these documents, as i felt like it is good enough as a proof and i will surely get visa.
but unfortunately all got is only disappointment, when i went for the second time,
the VO just read the employer letter and told me that i haven’t brought the information
required,(which really shocked me).. She didn’t even notice that there are some other
documents underlying. It seemed to me like she was expecting those information (on from the letter itself.
here i am sharing the conversation for you to get an idea:
VO: pass me the additional docs
Me: passed them
VO: I want the originals
Me: I received them through e-mail. So I had taken printouts.
VO: I understand that. But what we want is the original docs, not the email ones
VO: who ‘s for the product?
Me: it is developed by ***.
VO: but who’s for this product.
Me: for the client’s in CRM domain. It has been sold to ....
VO: she read the letter to consulate given by employer.and She pointed out the 221g form and asked where is the list of active projects
Me: I located her to the printout that was having list of active projects.
VO: so these are all the active projects.
Me: Yes
VO: I do not find all the information that was asked for?
Me: it is provided in the underlying docs
VO: she just turned out the papers and said see, required information is not available here.
We want the information in a format, which is readable. Not a bunch of docs.
And she just turned the pages of market analysis and said this is not a market analysis.
Me: i have the project plan where the timeline/status of every module of the product is shown.
VO: we don’t want the module wise details, we want project status in general.
And she had taken all the I797, I129, and LCA and given a221g saying if you want you can again submit the docs in the drop box. And if we don’t get the required information again you are not going to get the visa.
Me: can you guide me on what is the format of information that you are looking for.
VO: it must be in a format, which is readable, not a bunch of documents.
Me: at this point she looked irritated.
She has given me 221g again. But this time ticked two check boxes
One is internal product information same as the previous 221g.
Second one is itinerary of services/engagements etc.
i could not understand what made her feel from our discussion that itinerary of services is required. Can anybody tell me? she was satisfied with list of active project.
However, after all this i understood what she needs is a letter with one or two pages
describing the required details. not a set of relevant documents, from which the officer has to read and infer the information on their own.
readers, please, share your views on this.
also if some one has experienced the same but finally got successful stamping, please share the format of documentation. It is really worthy information.
