Urgent help needed....Someone plz help

Hi All,

I am trying to book a visa appointment for my sister via VFS scheme. It has been already 3 working days since we had paid the DD, so I assume they would have activated our case. But when I try to book a new slot, the site asks for serial no of receipt and when I enter this, error message comes that its not a valid receipt no. Then I tried putting barcode here and now I am able to fill DS 156 form. IS this the correct way? Someone pls help? Are we required to enter barcode(10 digit no) before filling out DS 156 and DS157?

Yes, the receipt/serial number is the barcode number (10 digit) of the HDFC receipt.
