Resheduling of Visitor Visa (B2) appointment

My daughter who stays in Florida is expecting baby in April. So I'm planning to go on visitor visa (B2). I got the passport today. As per current availability of visa interview appointments at Chennai, the available dates are only after May 19th. So I'm concerned about this. Could you please look into my queries below.

1. Does reschedulng allow preponement?
2. What is chance of getting appointment in early April?
3. Will VFS allow me to prepone multiple times?

Yes, u can prepone (if dates are available), but only once. in other words re scheduling is allowed only once. After that u have to cancel it to have a new date.
