Hi Friends,

My parents and sister had their visa interview in Chennai few days back. My parents were granted visa while my sister's was refused. She is aged 19 and studying for Engg. My sister was asked the following questions. Can anyone please share similiar experiences and things to take care of while reapplying for her VISA? Does taking an itenary and to-and-fro tickets for interview help in any way? Pls advise

VO: What course are you studying for?
Sis: Civil Engineering
VO: When will your course be over?
Sis: 2008
VO: You have applied for 2 months. Do you have 2 months vaccation?
Sis: I have one month vaccation, and one month I can get leave from college
VO: Its not a good practise to take leave from studies just to visit US
Sis: I have got No objection letter from college (started to take out that letter)
VO: No documents can help you. I am not allowing you visa

Wouldn't it have helped to apply for one month trip when one has one month of school vacation. In such case probably visa office wouldn't be suspisious.

This may not help you now but could be guidance for future applicants in similar situation.
